B&B in Applecross
Shell Cottage B&B .The Perfect Place to See Applecross.
Minnie and I (Julie) warmly welcome you to Shell Cottage bed and breakfast in Applecross. Shell Cottage sits in the heart of the quiet hamlet of Culduie in Applecross. Culduie is perhaps most famous for the setting of the Man Booker Prize short-listed book ‘His Bloody Project’ written by Graeme MacRae Burnet.
Our cottage converted from an original croft house, has been extended and modernised and sits facing west with stunning sunset views to the Isle of Skye and Raasay across the Inner Sound. Guests are welcome to relax in the conservatory to enjoy the breath-taking views, and ever changing scenery in an idyllic area that you will be sure to fall in love with.
We do our utmost to give the cottage a warm, welcoming and friendly feel. The unique interiors, created by myself, are a mixture of quirky finds and collections, antique pieces and family heirlooms. Hanging on the walls of the cottage and bedrooms are beautiful artworks by Scottish artists. Everything tells a story, and you will be able to create your own memorable story in the beautiful surroundings of Applecross.
